07-1:1 Now after³¹⁰ the death⁴¹⁹⁴ of Joshua³⁰⁹¹ it came to pass,¹⁹⁶¹ that the children¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ asked⁷⁵⁹² the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ saying,⁵⁵⁹ Who⁴³¹⁰ shall go up⁵⁹²⁷ for us against⁴¹³ the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ first,⁸⁴⁶² to fight³⁸⁹⁸ against them?

07-1:2 And the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ said,⁵⁵⁹ Judah³⁰⁶³ shall go up:⁵⁹²⁷ behold,²⁰⁰⁹ I have delivered^{5414 (853)} the land⁷⁷⁶ into his hand.³⁰²⁷

07-1:3 And Judah³⁰⁶³ said⁵⁵⁹ unto Simeon⁸⁰⁹⁵ his brother,²⁵¹ Come up⁵⁹²⁷ with⁸⁵⁴ me into my lot,¹⁴⁸⁶ that we may fight³⁸⁹⁸ against the Canaanites;³⁶⁶⁹ and I⁵⁸⁹ likewise¹⁵⁷¹ will go¹⁹⁸⁰ with⁸⁵⁴ thee into thy lot.¹⁴⁸⁶ So Simeon⁸⁰⁹⁵ went¹⁹⁸⁰ with⁸⁵⁴ him.

07-1:4 And Judah³⁰⁶³ went up;⁵⁹²⁷ and the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ delivered^{5414 (853)} the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ and the Perizzites⁶⁵²² into their hand:³⁰²⁷ and they slew⁵²²¹ of them in Bezek⁹⁶⁶ ten⁶²³⁵ thousand⁵⁰⁵ men.³⁷⁶

07-1:5 And they found^{4672 (853)} Adoni-bezek¹³⁷ in Bezek:⁹⁶⁶ and they fought³⁸⁹⁸ against him, and they slew^{5221 (853)} the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ and the Perizzites.⁶⁵²²

07-1:6 But Adoni-bezek¹³⁷ fled;⁵¹²⁷ and they pursued⁷²⁹¹ after³¹⁰ him, and caught²⁷⁰ him, and cut off^{7112 (853)} his thumbs^{931, 3027} and his great toes.⁷²⁷²

07-1:7 And Adoni-bezek¹³⁷ said,⁵⁵⁹ Threescore and ten⁷⁶⁵⁷ kings,⁴⁴²⁸ having their thumbs^{931, 3027} and their great toes⁷²⁷² cut off,⁷¹¹² gathered³⁹⁵⁰ their meat under⁸⁴⁷⁸ my table:⁷⁹⁷⁹ as⁸³⁴ I have done,⁶²¹³ so³⁶⁵¹ God⁴³⁰ hath requited⁷⁹⁹⁹ me. And they brought⁹³⁵ him to Jerusalem,³³⁸⁹ and there⁸⁰³³ he died.⁴¹⁹¹

07-1:8 Now the children¹¹²¹ of Judah³⁰⁶³ had fought³⁸⁹⁸ against Jerusalem,³³⁸⁹ and had taken³⁹²⁰ it, and smitten⁵²²¹ it with the edge⁶³¹⁰ of the sword,²⁷¹⁹ and set⁷⁹⁷¹ the city⁵⁸⁹² on fire.⁷⁸⁴

07-1:9 And afterward³¹⁰ the children¹¹²¹ of Judah³⁰⁶³ went down³³⁸¹ to fight³⁸⁹⁸ against the Canaanites,³⁶⁶⁹ that dwelt³⁴²⁷ in the mountain,²⁰²² and in the south,⁵⁰⁴⁵ and in the valley.⁸²¹⁹

07-1:10 And Judah³⁰⁶³ went¹⁹⁸⁰ against³⁴¹³ the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ that dwelt³⁴²⁷ in Hebron:²²⁷⁵ (now the name⁸⁰³⁴ of Hebron²²⁷⁵ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ was Kirjath-arba:)⁷¹⁵³ and they slew^{5221 (853)} Sheshai,⁸³⁴⁴ and Ahiman,²⁸⁹ and Talmai.⁸⁵²⁶

07-1:11 And from thence^{4480, 8033} he went¹⁹⁸⁰ against⁴¹³ the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Debir:¹⁶⁸⁸ and the name⁸⁰³⁴ of Debir¹⁶⁸⁸ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ was Kirjath-sepher:⁷¹⁵⁸

07-1:12 And Caleb³⁶¹² said,⁵⁵⁹ He that⁸³⁴ smiteth^{5221 (853)} Kirjath-sepher,⁷¹⁵⁸ and taketh³⁹²⁰ it, to him will I give^{5414 (853)} Achsah⁵⁹¹⁹ my daughter¹³²³ to wife.⁸⁰²

07-1:13 And Othniel⁶²⁷⁴ the son¹¹²¹ of Kenaz,⁷⁰⁷³ Caleb's³⁶¹² younger⁶⁹⁹⁶ brother,²⁵¹ took³⁹²⁰ it: and he gave⁵⁴¹⁴ him ⁽⁸⁵³⁾ Achsah⁵⁹¹⁹ his daughter¹³²³ to wife.⁸⁰²

07-1:14 And it came to pass,¹⁹⁶¹ when she came⁹³⁵ to him, that she moved⁵⁴⁹⁶ him to ask⁷⁵⁹² of^{4480, 854} her father¹ a field:⁷⁷⁰⁴ and she lighted⁶⁷⁹⁵ from off^{4480, 5921} her ass;²⁵⁴³ and Caleb³⁶¹² said⁵⁵⁹ unto her, What⁴¹⁰⁰ wilt thou?

07-1:15 And she said⁵⁵⁹ unto him, Give³⁰⁵¹ me a blessing:¹²⁹³ for³⁵⁸⁸ thou hast given⁵⁴¹⁴ me a south⁵⁰⁴⁵ land;⁷⁷⁶ give⁵⁴¹⁴ me also springs¹⁵⁴³ of water.⁴³²⁵ And Caleb³⁶¹² gave⁵⁴¹⁴ her ⁽⁸⁵³⁾ the upper⁵⁹⁴² springs¹⁵⁴³ and the nether⁸⁴⁸² springs.¹⁵⁴³

07-1:16 And the children¹¹²¹ of the Kenite,⁷⁰¹⁷ Moses'⁴⁸⁷² father-in-law,²⁸⁵⁹ went up⁵⁹²⁷ out of the city^{4480, 5892} of palm trees⁸⁵⁵⁸ with⁸⁵⁴ the children¹¹²¹ of Judah³⁰⁶³ into the wilderness^{4480, 4057} of Judah,³⁰⁶³ which⁸³⁴ lieth in the south⁵⁰⁴⁵ of Arad;⁶¹⁶⁶ and they went¹⁹⁸⁰ and dwelt³⁴²⁷ among⁸⁵⁴ the people.⁵⁹⁷¹

07-1:17 And Judah³⁰⁶³ went¹⁹⁸⁰ with⁸⁵⁴ Simeon⁸⁰⁹⁵ his brother,²⁵¹ and they slew^{5221 (853)} the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ that inhabited³⁴²⁷ Zephath,⁶⁸⁵⁷ and utterly destroyed²⁷⁶³ it. And ⁽⁸⁵³⁾ the name⁸⁰³⁴ of the city⁵⁸⁹² was called⁷¹²¹ Hormah.²⁷⁶⁷

07-1:18 Also Judah³⁰⁶³ took^{3920 (853)} Gaza⁵⁸⁰⁴ with⁽⁸⁵³⁾ the coast¹³⁶⁶ thereof, and Askelon⁸³¹ with the coast¹³⁶⁶ thereof, and Ekron⁶¹³⁸ with the coast¹³⁶⁶ thereof.

07-1:19 And the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ was¹⁹⁶¹ with⁸⁵⁴ Judah;³⁰⁶³ and he drove out^{3423 (853)} the inhabitants of the mountain;²⁰²² but³⁵⁸⁸ could not³⁸⁰⁸ drive out^{3423 (853)} the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of the valley,⁶⁰¹⁰ because³⁵⁸⁸ they had chariots⁷³⁹³ of iron.¹²⁷⁰

07-1:20 And they gave^{5414 (853)} Hebron²²⁷⁵ unto Caleb,³⁶¹² as⁸³⁴ Moses⁴⁸⁷² said:¹⁶⁹⁶ and he expelled³⁴²³ thence^{4480, 8033 (853)} the three⁷⁹⁶⁹ sons¹¹²¹ of Anak.⁶⁰⁶¹

07-1:21 And the children¹¹²¹ of Benjamin¹¹⁴⁴ did not³⁸⁰⁸ drive out³⁴²³ the Jebusites²⁹⁸³ that inhabited³⁴²⁷ Jerusalem;³³⁸⁹ but the Jebusites²⁹⁸³ dwell³⁴²⁷ with⁸⁵⁴ the children¹¹²¹ of Benjamin¹¹⁴⁴ in Jerusalem³³⁸⁹ unto⁵⁷⁰⁴ this²⁰⁸⁸ day.³¹¹⁷

07-1:22 And the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Joseph,³¹³⁰ they¹⁹⁹² also¹⁵⁷¹ went up⁵⁹²⁷ against Bethel:¹⁰⁰⁸ and the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ was with⁵⁹⁷³ them.

07-1:23 And the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Joseph³¹³⁰ sent to descry⁸⁴⁴⁶ Bethel.¹⁰⁰⁸ (Now the name⁸⁰³⁴ of the city⁵⁸⁹² before⁶⁴⁴⁰ was Luz.)³⁸⁷⁰

07-1:24 And the spies⁸¹⁰⁴ saw⁷²⁰⁰ a man³⁷⁶ come forth³³¹⁸ out of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the city,⁵⁸⁹² and they said⁵⁵⁹ unto him, Show⁷²⁰⁰ us, we pray thee,^{4994 (853)} the entrance³⁹⁹⁶ into the city,⁵⁸⁹² and we will show^{6213, 5973} thee mercy.²⁶¹⁷

07-1:25 And when he showed⁷²⁰⁰ them ⁽⁸⁵³⁾ the entrance³⁹⁹⁶ into the city,⁵⁸⁹² they smote^{5221 (853)} the city⁵⁸⁹² with the edge⁶³¹⁰ of the sword;²⁷¹⁹ but they let go⁷⁹⁷¹ the man³⁷⁶ and all³⁶⁰⁵ his family.⁴⁹⁴⁰

07-1:26 And the man³⁷⁶ went¹⁹⁸⁰ into the land⁷⁷⁶ of the Hittites,²⁸⁵⁰ and built¹¹²⁹ a city,⁵⁸⁹² and called⁷¹²¹ the name⁸⁰³⁴ thereof Luz:³⁸⁷⁰ which¹⁹³¹ is the name⁸⁰³⁴ thereof unto⁵⁷⁰⁴ this²⁰⁸⁸ day.³¹¹⁷

07-1:27 Neither³⁸⁰⁸ did Manasseh⁴⁵¹⁹ drive out^{3423 (853)} the inhabitants of Beth-shean¹⁰⁵² and her towns,¹³²³ nor Taanach⁸⁵⁹⁰ and her towns,¹³²³ nor the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Dor¹⁷⁵⁶ and her towns,¹³²³ nor the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Ibleam²⁹⁹¹ and her towns,¹³²³ nor the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Megiddo⁴⁰²³ and her towns:¹³²³ but the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ would²⁹⁷⁴ dwell³⁴²⁷ in that²⁰⁶³ land.⁷⁷⁶

07-1:28 And it came to pass,¹⁹⁶¹ when³⁵⁸⁸ Israel³⁴⁷⁸ was strong,²³⁸⁸ that they put^{7760 (853)} the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ to tribute,⁴⁵²² and did not³⁸⁰⁸ utterly drive them out.^{3423, 3423}

07-1:29 Neither³⁸⁰⁸ did Ephraim⁶⁶⁹ drive out^{3423 (853)} the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ that dwelt³⁴²⁷ in Gezer;¹⁵⁰⁷ but the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ dwelt³⁴²⁷ in Gezer¹⁵⁰⁷ among⁷¹³⁰ them.

07-1:30 Neither³⁸⁰⁸ did Zebulun²⁰⁷⁴ drive out^{3423 (853)} the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Kitron,⁷⁰⁰³ nor the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Nahalol;⁵⁰⁹⁶ but the Canaanites³⁶⁶⁹ dwelt³⁴²⁷ among⁷¹³⁰ them, and became¹⁹⁶¹ tributaries.⁴⁵²²

07-1:31 Neither³⁸⁰⁸ did Asher⁸³⁶ drive out^{3423 (853)} the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Accho,⁵⁹¹⁰ nor the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Zidon,⁶⁷²¹ nor of Ahlab,³⁰³ nor of Achzib,³⁹² nor of Helbah,²⁴⁶² nor of Aphik,⁶⁶³ nor of Rehob:⁷³⁴⁰

07-1:32 But the Asherites⁸⁴³ dwelt³⁴²⁷ among⁷¹³⁰ the Canaanites,³⁶⁶⁹ the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of the land:⁷⁷⁶ for³⁵⁸⁸ they did not³⁸⁰⁸ drive them out.³⁴²³

07-1:33 Neither³⁸⁰⁸ did Naphtali⁵³²¹ drive out^{3423 (853)} the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Beth-shemesh,¹⁰⁵³ nor the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Beth-anath;¹⁰⁴³ but he dwelt³⁴²⁷ among⁷¹³⁰ the Canaanites,³⁶⁶⁹ the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of the land:⁷⁷⁶ nevertheless the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of Beth-shemesh¹⁰⁵³ and of Beth-anath¹⁰⁴³ became¹⁹⁶¹ tributaries⁴⁵²² unto them.

07-1:34 And the Amorites⁵⁶⁷ forced^{3905 (853)} the children¹¹²¹ of Dan¹⁸³⁵ into the mountain:²⁰²² for³⁵⁸⁸ they would not³⁸⁰⁸ suffer⁵⁴¹⁴ them to come down³³⁸¹ to the valley:⁶⁰¹⁰

07-1:35 But the Amorites⁵⁶⁷ would²⁹⁷⁴ dwell³⁴²⁷ in mount²⁰²² Heres²⁷⁷⁶ in Aijalon,³⁵⁷ and in Shaalbim:⁸¹⁶⁹ yet the hand³⁰²⁷ of the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Joseph³¹³⁰ prevailed,³⁵¹³ so that they became¹⁹⁶¹ tributaries.⁴⁵²²

07-1:36 And the coast¹³⁶⁶ of the Amorites⁵⁶⁷ was from the going up^{4480, 4608} to Akrabbim,⁶¹³⁷ from the rock,^{4480, 5553} and upward.⁴⁶⁰⁵

07-2:1 And an angel⁴³⁹⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ came up⁵⁹²⁷ from⁴⁴⁸⁰ Gilgal¹⁵³⁷ to⁴¹³ Bochim,¹⁰⁶⁶ and said,⁵⁵⁹ I made you to go up^{5927, (853)} out of Egypt,^{4480, 4714} and have brought⁹³⁵ you unto⁴¹³ the land⁷⁷⁶ which⁸³⁴ I swore⁷⁶⁵⁰ unto your fathers;¹ and I said,⁵⁵⁹ I will never^{3808, 5769} break⁶⁵⁶⁵ my covenant¹²⁸⁵ with⁸⁵⁴ you.

07-2:2 And ye⁸⁵⁹ shall make³⁷⁷² no³⁸⁰⁸ league¹²⁸⁵ with the inhabitants³⁴²⁷ of this²⁰⁶³ land;⁷⁷⁶ ye shall throw down⁵⁴²² their altars:⁴¹⁹⁶ but ye have not³⁸⁰⁸ obeyed⁸⁰⁸⁵ my voice:⁶⁹⁶³ why⁴¹⁰⁰ have ye done⁶²¹³ this?²⁰⁶³

07-2:3 Wherefore I also¹⁵⁷¹ said,⁵⁵⁹ I will not³⁸⁰⁸ drive them out^{1644, (853)} from before^{4480, 6440} you; but they shall be¹⁹⁶¹ as thorns in your sides,⁶⁶⁵⁴ and their gods⁴³⁰ shall be¹⁹⁶¹ a snare⁴¹⁷⁰ unto you.

07-2:4 And it came to pass,¹⁹⁶¹ when the angel⁴³⁹⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ spoke^{1696 (853)} these⁴²⁸ words¹⁶⁹⁷ unto⁴¹³ all³⁶⁰⁵ the children¹¹²¹ of Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ that the people⁵⁹⁷¹ lifted up^{5375 (853)} their voice,⁶⁹⁶³ and wept.¹⁰⁵⁸

07-2:5 And they called⁷¹²¹ the name⁸⁰³⁴ of that¹⁹³¹ place⁴⁷²⁵ Bochim:¹⁰⁶⁶ and they sacrificed²⁰⁷⁶ there⁸⁰³³ unto the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

07-2:6 And when Joshua³⁰⁹¹ had let ⁽⁸⁵³⁾ the people⁵⁹⁷¹ go,⁷⁹⁷¹ the children¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ went¹⁹⁸⁰ every man³⁷⁶ unto his inheritance⁵¹⁵⁹ to possess^{3423 (853)} the land.⁷⁷⁶

07-2:7 And the people⁵⁹⁷¹ served^{5647 (853)} the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ all³⁶⁰⁵ the days³¹¹⁷ of Joshua,³⁰⁹¹ and all³⁶⁰⁵ the days³¹¹⁷ of the elders²²⁰⁵ that⁸³⁴ outlived^{748, 3117, 310} Joshua,³⁰⁹¹ who⁸³⁴ had seen^{7200 (853)} all³⁶⁰⁵ the great¹⁴¹⁹ works⁴⁶³⁹ of the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ that⁸³⁴ he did⁶²¹³ for Israel.³⁴⁷⁸

07-2:8 And Joshua³⁰⁹¹ the son¹¹²¹ of Nun,⁵¹²⁶ the servant⁵⁶⁵⁰ of the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ died,⁴¹⁹¹ being a hundred³⁹⁶⁷ and ten⁶²³⁵ years⁸¹⁴¹ old.¹¹²¹

07-2:9 And they buried⁶⁹¹² him in the border¹³⁶⁶ of his inheritance⁵¹⁵⁹ in Timnath-heres,⁸⁵⁵⁶ in the mount²⁰²² of Ephraim,⁶⁶⁹ on the north side^{4480, 6828} of the hill²⁰²² Gaash.¹⁶⁰⁸

07-2:10 And also¹⁵⁷¹ all³⁶⁰⁵ that¹⁹³¹ generation¹⁷⁵⁵ were gathered⁶²² unto⁴¹³ their fathers:¹ and there arose⁶⁹⁶⁵ another³¹² generation¹⁷⁵⁵ after³¹⁰ them, which⁸³⁴ knew³⁰⁴⁵ not^{3808 (853)} the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ nor yet^{1571 (853)} the works⁴⁶³⁹ which⁸³⁴ he had done⁶²¹³ for Israel.³⁴⁷⁸

07-2:11 And the children¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ did^{6213 (853)} evil⁷⁴⁵¹ in the sight⁵⁸⁶⁹ of the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ and served^{5647 (853)} Baalim:¹¹⁶⁸

07-2:12 And they forsook^{5800 (853)} the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ God⁴³⁰ of their fathers,¹ which brought them out^{3318, (853)} of the land^{4480, 776} of Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ and followed^{1980, 310} other³¹² gods,⁴³⁰ of the gods^{4480, 430} of the people⁵⁹⁷¹ that⁸³⁴ were round about⁵⁴³⁹ them, and bowed themselves⁷⁸¹² unto them, and provoked^{3707 (853)} the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ to anger.³⁷⁰⁷

07-2:13 And they forsook^{5800 (853)} the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ and served⁵⁶⁴⁷ Baal¹¹⁶⁸ and Ashtaroth.⁶²⁵²

07-2:14 And the anger⁶³⁹ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ was hot²⁷³⁴ against Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ and he delivered⁵⁴¹⁴ them into the hands³⁰²⁷ of spoilers⁸¹⁵⁴ that spoiled⁸¹⁵⁵ them, and he sold⁴³⁷⁶ them into the hands³⁰²⁷ of their enemies³⁴¹ round about,^{4480, 5439} so that they could³²⁰¹ not³⁸⁰⁸ any longer⁵⁷⁵⁰ stand⁵⁹⁷⁵ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ their enemies.³⁴¹

07-2:15 Whithersoever^{3605, 834} they went out,³³¹⁸ the hand³⁰²⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ was¹⁹⁶¹ against them for evil,⁷⁴⁵¹ as⁸³⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ had said,¹⁶⁹⁶ and as⁸³⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ had sworn⁷⁶⁵⁰ unto them: and they were greatly³⁹⁶⁶ distressed.³³³⁴

07-2:16 Nevertheless the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ raised up⁶⁹⁶⁵ judges,⁸¹⁹⁹ which delivered³⁴⁶⁷ them out of the hand^{4480, 3027} of those that spoiled⁸¹⁵⁴ them.

07-2:17 And yet¹⁵⁷¹ they would not³⁸⁰⁸ hearken⁸⁰⁸⁵ unto⁴¹³ their judges,⁸¹⁹⁹ but³⁵⁸⁸ they went a whoring²¹⁸¹ after³¹⁰ other³¹² gods,⁴³⁰ and bowed themselves⁷⁸¹² unto them: they turned⁵⁴⁹³ quickly⁴¹¹⁸ out of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the way¹⁸⁷⁰ which⁸³⁴ their fathers¹ walked¹⁹⁸⁰ in, obeying⁸⁰⁸⁵ the commandments⁴⁶⁸⁷ of the LORD;³⁰⁶⁸ but they did⁶²¹³ not³⁸⁰⁸ so.³⁶⁵¹

07-2:18 And when³⁵⁸⁸ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ raised them up⁶⁹⁶⁵ judges,⁸¹⁹⁹ then the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ was¹⁹⁶¹ with⁵⁹⁷³ the judge,⁸¹⁹⁹ and delivered³⁴⁶⁷ them out of the hand^{4480, 3027} of their enemies³⁴¹ all³⁶⁰⁵ the days³¹¹⁷ of the judge:⁸¹⁹⁹ for³⁵⁸⁸ it repented⁵¹⁶² the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ because of their groanings^{4480, 5009} by reason of them^{4480, 6440} that oppressed³⁹⁰⁵ them and vexed¹⁷⁶⁶ them.

07-2:19 And it came to pass,¹⁹⁶¹ when the judge⁸¹⁹⁹ was dead,⁴¹⁹¹ that they returned,⁷⁷²⁵ and corrupted⁷⁸⁴³ themselves more than their fathers,^{4480, 1} in following^{1980, 310} other³¹² gods⁴³⁰ to serve⁵⁶⁴⁷ them, and to bow down⁷⁸¹² unto them; they ceased⁵³⁰⁷ not³⁸⁰⁸ from their own doings,^{4480, 4611} nor from their stubborn way.^{4480, 1870, 7186}

07-2:20 And the anger⁶³⁹ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ was hot²⁷³⁴ against Israel;³⁴⁷⁸ and he said,⁵⁵⁹ Because³²⁸² that⁸³⁴ this²⁰⁸⁸ people¹⁴⁷¹ hath transgressed^{5674 (853)} my covenant¹²⁸⁵ which⁸³⁴ I commanded^{6680 (853)} their fathers,¹ and have not³⁸⁰⁸ hearkened⁸⁰⁸⁵ unto my voice;⁶⁹⁶³

07-2:21 I⁵⁸⁹ also¹⁵⁷¹ will not³⁸⁰⁸ henceforth³²⁵⁴ drive out³⁴²³ any³⁷⁶ from before^{4480, 6440} them of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the nations¹⁴⁷¹ which⁸³⁴ Joshua³⁰⁹¹ left⁵⁸⁰⁰ when he died:⁴¹⁹¹

07-2:22 That⁴⁶¹⁶ through them I may prove^{5254 (853)} Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ whether they¹⁹⁹² will keep^{8104 (853)} the way¹⁸⁷⁰ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ to walk¹⁹⁸⁰ therein, as⁸³⁴ their fathers¹ did keep⁸¹⁰⁴ it, or⁵¹⁸ not.³⁸⁰⁸

07-2:23 Therefore the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ left^{5117 (853)} those⁴²⁸ nations,¹⁴⁷¹ without¹¹¹⁵ driving them out³⁴²³ hastily;⁴¹¹⁸ neither³⁸⁰⁸ delivered⁵⁴¹⁴ he them into the hand³⁰²⁷ of Joshua.³⁰⁹¹

07-3:1 Now these⁴²⁸ are the nations¹⁴⁷¹ which⁸³⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ left,⁵¹¹⁷ to prove^{5254 (853)} Israel³⁴⁷⁸ by them, even ⁽⁸⁵³⁾ as many^{3605, 834} of Israel as had not³⁸⁰⁸ known^{3045 (853)} all³⁶⁰⁵ the wars⁴⁴²¹ of Canaan;³⁶⁶⁷

07-3:2 Only⁷⁵³⁵ that⁴⁶¹⁶ the generations¹⁷⁵⁵ of the children¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ might know,³⁰⁴⁵ to teach³⁹²⁵ them war,⁴⁴²¹ at the least⁷⁵³⁵ such as⁸³⁴ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ knew³⁰⁴⁵ nothing³⁸⁰⁸ thereof;

07-3:3 Namely, five²⁵⁶⁸ lords⁵⁶³³ of the Philistines,⁶⁴³⁰ and all³⁶⁰⁵ the Canaanites,³⁶⁶⁹ and the Sidonians,⁶⁷²² and the Hivites²³⁴⁰ that dwelt³⁴²⁷ in mount²⁰²² Lebanon,³⁸⁴⁴ from mount^{4480, 2022} Baal-hermon¹¹⁷⁹ unto⁵⁷⁰⁴ the entering in⁹³⁵ of Hamath.²⁵⁷⁴

07-3:4 And they were¹⁹⁶¹ to prove^{5254 (853)} Israel³⁴⁷⁸ by them, to know³⁰⁴⁵ whether they would hearken⁸⁰⁸⁵ unto ⁽⁸⁵³⁾ the commandments⁴⁶⁸⁷ of the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ which⁸³⁴ he commanded^{6680 (853)} their fathers¹ by the hand³⁰²⁷ of Moses.⁴⁸⁷²

07-3:5 And the children¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ dwelt³⁴²⁷ among⁷¹³⁰ the Canaanites,³⁶⁶⁹ Hittites,²⁸⁵⁰ and Amorites,⁵⁶⁷ and Perizzites,⁶⁵²² and Hivites,²³⁴⁰ and Jebusites:²⁹⁸³

07-3:6 And they took^{3947 (853)} their daughters¹³²³ to be their wives,⁸⁰² and gave⁵⁴¹⁴ their daughters¹³²³ to their sons,¹¹²¹ and served^{5647 (853)} their gods.⁴³⁰

07-3:7 And the children¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ did^{6213 (853)} evil⁷⁴⁵¹ in the sight⁵⁸⁶⁹ of the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ and forgot^{7911 (853)} the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ their God,⁴³⁰ and served^{5647 (853)} Baalim¹¹⁶⁸ and the groves.⁸⁴²

07-3:8 Therefore the anger⁶³⁹ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ was hot²⁷³⁴ against Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ and he sold⁴³⁷⁶ them into the hand³⁰²⁷ of Cushan-rishathaim³⁵⁷³ king⁴⁴²⁸ of Mesopotamia:⁷⁶³ and the children¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ served^{5647 (853)} Cushan-rishathaim³⁵⁷³ eight⁸⁰⁸³ years.⁸¹⁴¹

07-3:9 And when the children¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ cried²¹⁹⁹ unto⁴¹³ the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ raised up⁶⁹⁶⁵ a deliverer³⁴⁶⁷ to the children¹¹²¹ of Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ who delivered³⁴⁶⁷ them, even ⁽⁸⁵³⁾ Othniel⁶²⁷⁴ the son¹¹²¹ of Kenaz,⁷⁰⁷³ Caleb's³⁶¹² younger⁶⁹⁹⁶ brother.²⁵¹

07-3:10 And the Spirit⁷³⁰⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ came¹⁹⁶¹ upon⁵⁹²¹ him, and he judged⁸¹⁹⁹
